Terms of our Repair Service

By placing an order on this website you agreeing with the following terms.

At remote key repairs we aim to repair your key. If we do not repair it we will refund you for the cost of the repair service. We do not refund the postage charge. When we have carried out a repair we use test equipment (An RF Meter) which tests if the key is sending and receiving a signal. If it is then we deem the key to be working. We test prior to posting the key back and a key that has been sent back and working will not be refunded as we have met our requirements for repairing the key.

If the key is working but not working with your car then this is beyond the service that we off as we cannot be with the car. It could be a few things listed here though:

1. it may need resynchronising, which is in the handbook for the vehicle where it explains about replacing the fob battery.

2. It may be the receiver on the vehicle (the part that detects the signal being sent by the key). If this is the case then you would need to contact an auto locksmith.

3. Programming. There may be a programming issue with the key. In which case an auto locksmith is required to rectify this.

We agree as apart of our services that we will repair your key and get it to emit a signal on an RF or Infra Red meter. This is classed as a working key and no refund will be given if it does emit a signal.

 

Postage

We highly recommend sending us your key so that it is covered for a replacement should it go missing or be damaged. At the very least we suggest a recorded service. We also strongly advise you select the Royal Mail Special Delivery in the checkout when you place your order as this is covered for up to £500. If you select the Royal Mail Signed for option you are agreeing that should we need to make a claim with Royal Mail then it is only covered for up to £50 and this is all you would get back. Again we advise the Special Delivery option to covered this.

Warranty

We offer a 3 month warranty on all repairs from the order date. Outside of the 3 month period may result in additional charges. Our warranty covers:

  • The case (if we have supplied and fitted)
  • operation of the buttons
  • Flip mechanism (if applicable)

If the key has suffered mistreatment/water damage in this period this will void any warranty. If we deal the key to have been tampered with after we have returned to you then this also will void the warranty.

Changes To This Agreement

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms and Conditions by posting the updated terms on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
